Refresh, Don't Restart: Why I Created the "Fullness Refresh"
I've been wearing extensions for most of my life. Long before I was doing them professionally, I was sitting in the chair getting them done. Which means I know exactly what it feels like when your set stops looking like they did on day one.
So… let's talk about something the industry doesn't love to admit. (I know I’m about to ruffle some feathers with this one lol)
The Truth About Extensions
Somewhere around the 4-6 month mark, your extensions are going to start slowly thinning. You honestly probably won't even notice it at first… but it's happening. It creeps up on you.
And then one day you wash your hair six months in and you're like… damn. (Especially if you're blonde.)
As you wear your extensions, they're going to shed, the ends are going to start feeling a bit more fragile… and that's not a sign you're doing something wrong… it's just what happens to hair that isn't growing out of your scalp.
And honestly.. anyone who tells you extensions "can last over a year with proper care!!" is selling you a fantasy and I'm lowkey sick of it lol. I have tried every top extension brand there is out there and none have ever lasted me a year. How you care for them at home absolutely affects the timeline… but it doesn't change the ending. Sorry girl, I'm sad about it too lol. They are going to eventually thin out and they are going to need to be replaced.
The Part Nobody Was Talking About
Here's what I kept noticing, both as a wearer and as a stylist: my clients weren't unhappy at the 4-6 month mark because their hair felt thinner than it did on day one. They were just... bored lol. They wanted a length change… a colour switch up… something different. But a full new set that early? Obvi, that's way too soon, and it doesn't make financial sense either.
So… my clients were stuck choosing between living with extensions that were starting to thin and shorten, or pay for an entirely new set before they actually needed one. Neither felt right to me.
Why I Built the Fullness Refresh
I created the Fullness Refresh because I noticed a missing piece in extension maintenance — a gap between "your set is fine" and "you need a whole new set." It's a few strategic packs of new hair, added in at your regular maintenance appointments, to bring back the fullness you've naturally lost.
It doesn't break the bank. It doesn't require starting over. And it means your extensions look good the entire time you're wearing them — not just for the first few months before the decline sets in.
Here's the part I'm actually most proud of: we carry our own in-house hair inventory, so when you're ready for a Fullness Refresh, the hair is already here. No waiting on a special order. No guessing how much to order ahead of time and hoping it's enough (or eating the cost when it's not). We match it to your exact wants and needs, right there at your appointment. You just broke up with your boyfriend and want to go blonder? We gotchu. You're in your friend's wedding and want to add some dimension? Yup. The sky is blue? We got that too lol.
That's not something every salon can offer you — most stylists are ordering hair per client, weeks in advance, hoping the timing lines up. We built it so it doesn't have to.
If you wear extensions, you already know what I'm talking about. Let's keep your hair looking like day one, every time you sit in the chair.
Ask your stylist about a Fullness Refresh at your next maintenance appointment!
