BAILEY BROWN
I founded Below Hair Studio in 2015 after already spending years behind the chair, and today I bring over 17 years of industry experience to the leadership side of the business. While I’m no longer taking clients myself, my focus is on operating our two locations and mentoring the next generation of stylists. And yes… my golden retriever, Kona, is still very much part of the team and often greeting guests at both studios.
My mission as a business owner is to create a space that feels welcoming, inspiring, and genuinely enjoyable for both our guests and our stylists. This industry has a unique way of transforming how people feel about themselves, and being part of those moments—now through the hands of our growing team—will always be the most rewarding part of what I do.
Owning and operating two locations has been a labour of love and an ongoing education in leadership, creativity, and resilience. I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to guide new stylists as they build their careers, and for the continued support of every guest who chooses BHS. I’m Christina, the Operations Manager for both of our Below Hair Studio locations for almost 2 years now! With over nine years in the beauty industry, I’m genuinely passionate about creating an exceptional experience for both our team and our guests.
You’ll find me working both behind the scenes and right up front—overseeing daily operations, streamlining systems, managing inventory, and supporting our stylists so they can thrive in a positive, energizing environment.
I feel incredibly lucky to be part of the management team here, and I love being part of what makes BHS such a special place.

Specializing in blonding and extensions, Brittney brings both technical skill and a warm, engaging energy to every appointment. She’s known for creating beautiful, customized results—while keeping clients entertained with conversations about all the best life updates.
She feels incredibly grateful for the amazing clients she’s built so far—and is always excited to welcome a few more into her chair.

Kendra is a talented stylist who works between both the North and South locations of Below Hair Studio. As a blonding and extension specialist, she has developed a distinct niche and a loyal following, something you’ll quickly notice through the transformations showcased on her Instagram.
Her passion for extensions and blonding runs deep; the signature blonde-and-extensions look isn’t just her specialty, it’s part of her own identity. Kendra’s commitment to her craft shines through in every service she provides.
With a well-established clientele at BHS, booking with Kendra can be a challenge, but her clients will tell you she’s well worth the wait.

Leah is a seasoned stylist with over 15 years of experience behind the chair. Recently relocating from Calgary to Edmonton, she is thrilled to continue her hairstyling journey with Below Hair Studio.
A true lover of all things hair, Leah is especially passionate about precision cuts, blonding, and transformative colour work. She brings a vibrant, welcoming energy to every appointment, making sure each guest feels comfortable, cared for, and fully pampered.

Alex is a dynamic stylist who brings passion, precision, and a whole lot of personality to Below Hair Studio. She specializes in bright blondes, lived-in blondes, and extension transformations—especially since becoming fully certified in the IBE extension method. Creating looks that blend blonding and extensions is where Alex feels the magic truly happens, though she’s always excited to take on any service her clients dream up.
Her love for hair began in a high school cosmetology class, where she was fortunate enough to start building her skills early. That foundation ignited a career she continues to grow with enthusiasm. Alex is deeply committed to ongoing professional education and staying up to date with the latest tools, technologies, and industry innovations—she’s always the first to try the new gadgets.
Known for her bubbly, outgoing nature, she brings warmth and vibrant energy to every appointment—and she’s never shy about striking up a great conversation.

Neila is dedicated to delivering her absolute best every time, giving 150% to each appointment. She strives to create dream hair for every client and appreciates the trust they place in her craft.
In addition to balayage, Neila excels at long, layered haircuts that preserve length while adding movement and dimension. She is also known for her meticulous brow shaping—creating natural, face-flattering results that offer an effortless “wow” factor.

A natural people person, Raychel values trust, communication, and connection in every appointment. She wants her clients to leave feeling confident, cared for, and fully themselves.
Raychel is also known within the salon as the unofficial champion of every internal competition; her drive, creativity, and competitiveness make her a standout on the BHS team.

Throughout her ten years behind the chair, Carissa’s passion for the industry has only deepened. She has trained extensively across Western Canada and the U.S., continually expanding her skill set and staying current with the latest techniques and trends. Her recent accomplishments include working toward becoming a certified Redken Colourist and completing her IBE extension certification.
Carissa understands that seeing a new stylist can feel intimidating, and she strives to create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every guest. She values open communication and loves collaborating on a clear, achievable plan—whether the goal is a lived-in look, bright blonde, or something in between. Her focus is always on delivering beautiful, customized results that make clients feel their best.

During the first six months of her apprenticeship, she received one-on-one precision haircutting training using techniques from the renowned Toni & Guy Academy. Her dedication to education has been a defining part of her career; she has completed an intensive mentorship program, pursued extensive advanced training outside of school, and successfully challenged her final exams to become Red Seal Certified.
Rachel believes in thorough, transparent consultations. She takes the time to deeply understand each client’s goals, map out how to achieve them, and provide professional product recommendations to keep their hair looking incredible long after they’ve left the salon.
