At BHS, we are constantly educating our stylists with the safest extension techniques and newest methods of installation. We source our hair from multiple suppliers to ensure maximum selection based on budget, install method, length and colour.
During the consultation, we determine whether you’re looking to add fullness to sparse areas, or want maximum length and volume. Based on your starting length, density, texture, lifestyle, and budget, we will come up with a plan to make your dream hair happen.
Maintaining your extensions is an ongoing investment of both time & money. Committing to move up appointments, as well as using professional, extension-safe products at home, will ensure you get the most out of your investment!
INSTALLATION METHODS
Beaded Weft | $$
Weft is secured using a section of your own hair with visible silicone-lined beads to secure the weft. Beads are visible and require move up appointments every 4 weeks. Weft types used for this method: Machine weft, Micro-Machine weft, Flat weft.
Braidless Weave | $$$
Sewing technique into silicone lined beads, anchored onto the hair with no discomfort. Requires bead move ups every 4 weeks, based on proper care. Full re-install required after 1-2 tightening appointments. Weft types used for method: Machine Weft, Micro-Machine Weft, Flat Weft, Hand tied weft.
Invisible Bead Method (IBE) | $$$$
Specific sewing technique into silicone lined beads, anchored onto the hair with no discomfort or visible beads. This method is the most secure and requires a full removal and reinstall every 8-12 weeks. Weft types used for this method: Hand tied, Micro Machine weft.
Tape-In | $$
A small section of your hair is sandwiched between two pre-taped extensions. Can be used as a volume filler for fine sides, or adding length while growing out a short haircut. Requires full re-install every 6-8 weeks.
I-Tip | $$$
Individual bond shaped like an “I”, secured to a small section of your hair with a microbead; allowing for 360 degree move ability. Can be used with other methods to add fullness closer to the hairline/parting. Move ups are required every 6-8 weeks.
K-Tip | $$$$
Individual keratin bond, applied with heat to adhere to a small section of your hair for 360 degree move ability. Can be used with other methods to add fullness closer to the hairline/parting. Worn for 4-6 months and removed; hair cannot be reused.
Clip-In | $$$
We match your hair to our variety of colour swatches to accurately order the right colour and density required for your hair. When your hair has arrived, we will cut to blend the extensions if required, and educate how to install your hair at home with proper techniques/tips.
Customize your installation by combining multiple methods for the safest and most discreet permanent extension wear. As wefts cannot go as close to the hairline or part line, you can choose to add 1-2 bundles of I-Tip/K-Tip to maximize fullness in desired areas.
You can choose to provide your own hair for any installation method we offer. However, we cannot guarantee or take responsibility for any issues you may have with the hair provided.
