BAILEY
Hey, I'm Bailey! I started BHS back in 2015, and I've been doing hair for over 15 years now! I am currently not behind the chair, as I am focusing solely on operating the 2 salons and mentoring our up and coming new stylists. I bring my best pal Kona with me to the salon everywhere I go; whom you may have met if you've visited us before!
My goal as a business owner is to create an environment that is welcoming, inspiring and fun for not only our guests, but for our stylists. I love that this career has the ability to change how someone feels about themselves simply by sharing my creative passion with them. I am so humbled to know that I have been a part of so many monumental moments in my clients lives and now get to watch our new stylists have those same moments makes it all come full circle for me.It is such an amazing feeling to have the opportunity to lead new stylists that are building their careers.
Owning two busy salons has been a labour of love, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have learnt a lot along the way and I still learn something new about owning multiple salons every day. Whether I see you at the North or South location, I’m so thankful for you supporting my dream.

Hi, I’m Kona! You may have seen me over on our instagram stories snoozing around at either location, following around my mom, or keeping a watchful eye on someone eating a snack in the salon.
My favourite pastime in the salon is finding a sneaky little spot under your chair to take a nap. I love having my picture taken (be sure to tag @belowhairstudio because I love to look at all my puparazzi pics you guys take). I love all the attention and love you want to give me but don’t worry, I won’t come bug you if I know you aren’t into it!
My favourite snack is cucumbers, and I love when clients bring me a treat (but don’t let my mom see, she thinks I need to be on a diet - rude!)

Hey, it's Britt! Im a senior stylist here at BHS that’s new-ish to YEG, as I started my hair journey back in my home town of Selkirk, Manitoba! Time has flown since moving to Edmonton and starting my career here, as I truly love everything about being a hairstylist. I could do blonding and extension services all day every day while chatting about the latest reality tv shows and all the hot gossip in your life - tell me all the thingsssss! If I’m not at the salon, you can find me in the river valley with my dog Felix or planning my next travel adventure! I am so lucky to have the most amazing clients, but I have room for a few more! Hi, I'm Kendra! You may have seen me at either of our North or South locations as I work behind the chair at both! I am a blonding and extension specialist and you’ll be sure to see what I mean by that with my niche clientele that I’ve accumulated over on my instagram page! I am passionate about everything extensions and blonding, as I personally could never go without my Blonde x Extension combo... It's a part of me at this point! In my spare time, you can find me off to my next adventure as travelling to new destinations has become a big passion of mine. My next big trip I’m planning is to Europe for the first time, so be sure to give me all the details if you’ve been! I have fortunately built up a solid clientele at BHS, so getting in with me isn’t the easiest, but I promise it’ll be worth the wait! ;) I cant wait to see you in my chair!

Hey, I’m Alex! Where do I start?! I love bright blondes, lived in blondes and all my extension lovers! Ever since becoming fully certified in the IBE extension method, I love creating looks that involve both blonding and extensions as that is truly when the magic happens! Of course, I don’t limit myself to just that, I am always up for anything and everything! My love for hair started about 6 years ago in high school cosmetology class. I was so fortunate to be able to jump start my career in high school and start learning all things hair at a young age. When I’m out of the salon, you’ll find me travelling, camping, anything outdoors, or spending time with friends and family, and of course my two fur babies as well! I am a very bubbly and outgoing gal, and will have no problem talking your ear off about practically anything! I look forward to meeting you in my chair :)

I’m certified in 4 different extension methods and I love doing highly detailed foil work to get you to your blonde goals! I’m a people person and I love to laugh. My main goal is to have trust and communication with my clients so they leave feeling their best and beautiful selves. Whether it’s a more lived-in look, platinum cards or somewhere in between, I live for achieving your dream hair. I’m certified in 4 different extension methods and I myself am a life long extension wearer so I love that I can share my love for extensions to my clients! I’m newly engaged so be prepared for all things wedding talk when you sit in my chair! When I’m not working at the salon, you can find me with my family/friends, travelling and of course snuggling my 3 cats Bevvy, Spot & Pekoe (enter crazy cat lady comments here). I’m obsessed with all things hair & skin care and have a weird obsession with lip glosses haha. Hey there! I'm Carissa- I've been doing hair for over 10 years now, and am the manager here at BHS South! After living in Calgary for six years, being mentored by some amazing stylists, I took a risk in the name of love and moved to Edmonton in March 2021 to be with my now fiancé (in the middle of a pandemic... I know). In the almost-decade that I've been in this industry, I have never been more in love with my career. I've been fortunate enough to have attended classes around Western Canada and the U.S. to keep me up to date on all of the latest trends and techniques, and I'm always pursuing the 'gram for inspo. My most recent achievements have been working towards becoming a certified Redken colourist and I also just completed my IBE extension certification course!
I know that it can be nerve-wracking to branch out and see a new stylist, so when you sit in my chair, I want you to feel as comfortable as possible. I really value open and honest communication. Whether its a more lived-in look, maximum blonde, or somewhere in between; I'm your gal. I love coming up with a game plan to help my clients achieve their dream hair. If I'm not in the salon, you can usually catch me outside for a run or in my kitchen baking a treat! I can't wait to meet you! Xo

I have primarily been focusing on extensions and asian/dark hair blonding. I love doing big transformations and extreme lightening services. No task is too much for me! I was born and raised in Jasper, and I’m still settling in to the big city life! After completing 3 years of a degree in History, I realized that hairstyling was my true passion. I absolutely love balayages, blondes, lived in colours, and vibrant fashion colours. When I’m behind the chair, I feel honoured to have each guest put their faith in me to achieve their hair goals. I love to make sure each client feels that they have been actively listened to and aware of each step of the process. Communication is key! When I’m not doing hair, you can find me snuggled up on the couch with a book (and my cat) or spending time with friends and family. I love to laugh, and I enjoy chatting about reality tv, video games, books, and any historical topic. I can’t wait to meet you in my chair!
